Tfyi At Indonesia Interfood 2014 Exhibition

Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group (UTG) participated with an info stand for the second time in Interfood 2014 Exhibition held for the 14th time between 12-15 November 2014 at Jakarta International Expo in Jakarta city of Indonesia, attracting a big interest from the visitors.

Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group promoted particularly flour, yeast, starch and other export products included in its field of activity, as well as Turkey’s potential at the exhibition attended by 100 firms from the USA, Germany, Australia, Algeria, China, South Korea, Croatia, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Peru, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Thailand and Taiwan.

On the first day of the exhibition attended by Mr. Turgay ÜNLÜ, Chairman of UTG, Mr. Adnan HEKİMOĞLU, Member of UTG, Mr. Hakan ESEN, Member of Working Committee, and Mr. Özkan AYDIN, General Secretary of OAİB (Central Anatolian Exporters Union), the stand of our Promotion Group was visited by Mr. Ümit KAYA, Commercial Counsellor in Jakarta. On the third day of the exhibition, negotiations were held with Mr. Adhi Siswaja Lukman, Chairman of Indonesian Food and Beverage Association (GAPMMI), and officials of the said Association for development of trade between the two countries. 

Turkey, which is the world’s top exporter of wheat flour, carried out an effective promotional activity at the exhibition.Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group furnished visitors with cookbooks in English, containing recipes of sweet and salty bakery products and catalogues introducing the sector, and various baked products were offered to the visitors throughout the exhibition. In addition, baker’s sets consisting of kitchen aprons, bags, cook’s caps, gloves and aprons carrying the name and logo of the Promotion Group were distributed. The shows performed by the sand animation artist Mr. Veysel ÇELIKDEMIR using flour and sand drew great interest from the visitors.
