Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group at “Fi South America 2015” Exhibition

Food Ingredients South America 2015 Exhibition held at Transamérica Expo Center in Sao Paulo city of Brazil between 25-27 August 2015 was attended by 190 firms from particularly Turkey, Brazil, China, Mexico, Peru and France.

With its 204 million population, consumption potential and rising imports, Brazil is an important market for exporters looking for alternative foreign markets.

Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group (UTG) participated in the exhibition for the first time with 11 firms realizing exports in its field of activity, using the free stand area allocated to them by UTG. Turkey’s export potential for particularly flour, yeast, starch and other export products were promoted at the exhibition.

Before the opening of the exhibition, bilateral business negotiations were held on 24 August 2015 under the organization of Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group and under the coordination of Turkish Consulate General in Sao Paulo, in order to bring together our exporters participating in the exhibition, the Brazilian buyer firms and representatives of sectoral associations. Under the said organization, a lunch was given for our exporters participating in the exhibition and for the representatives of the Brazilian buyers/ associations participating in the negotiations.

The exhibition was attended by UTG Chairman Mr. Turgay ÜNLÜ, UTG Vice Chairman Mr. Nurettin DEMİRPOLAT, UTG Directors Mr. Orhan İLHAN, Mr. Uğur ÇERÇİ, Mr. İbrahim GÜZEL, Mr. Eren Günhan ULUSOY, and Working Committee Member Mr. Yüksel TEZCAN, and our info stand was visited by Mr. Mehmet Özgün ARMAN, Consul-General to Sao Paulo, and Mr. Caner SANNAV, Commercial Counsellor to Sao Paulo, as well.
