The Alimentaria Mexico 2013 Fair, held on 04-06 June 2013 in Mexico City, Mexico for the thirteenth time, was attended by 200 firms from 24 countries, namely the USA, Argentina, the Czech Republic, China, El Salvador, Indonesia, France, Guatemala, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, San Salvador, Sri Lanka, Chile, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey and Vietnam.
The product groups covered by the Fair were food and drinks production, distribution and marketing. The sub-products were milk products, desserts, fruit and vegetables, meat and meat products, fish and sea products, jams and frozen foods, drinks, organic foods and related equipment, food preservation, and packaging of food and drinks for the restaurant sector.
At the Fair, Turkish Flour, Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group carried out the promotion of flour, yeast, starch and other export products included in its area of activity. The fair was participated by the Group for the first time.
Turkey, a world leader in exports of wheat flour, performed an effective promotion activity at the Fair. Turkish Flour, Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group distributed a cookery book prepared in Spanish and English containing recipes of sweet and salty bakery products, and a catalogue introducing the sector, to visitors of the information stand. At the same time, various bakery products were offered to visitors during the Fair. In addition, aprons and bags carrying the name and logo of the Promotion Group were handed out.
