Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group (UTG) participated in Summer Fancy Food Show held between 28-30 June 2015 in New York City of the USA, in which UTG participated with an info stand for the second time this year.
The show was attended by more than 25 thousand visitors and around 2500 firms operating in food sector from 50 countries, including particularly Turkey, Argentina, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Netherlands and England.
Aegean Exporters Union realized the organization for the national participation with 49 firms and 3 Promotion Groups in the show involving Italy as a partner.
Particularly flour, yeast, starch and other export products included in the field of activity of UTG, as well as Turkey’s potential were promoted during the show.
Turkish Flour Yeast and Ingredients Promotion Group furnished visitors with cookbooks in English, containing recipes of sweet and salty bakery products and catalogues introducing the sector, and various baked products were offered to the visitors throughout the show. In addition, kitchen aprons, bags and baker’s sets carrying the name and logo of the Promotion Group were distributed. The shows performed by the sand animation artist Mr. Veysel Çelikdemir using flour and sand attracted great attention from the visitors.
Our info stand was visited by Mr. Ertan YALÇIN, Turkey’s Consul-General to New York and Mr. Mustafa Ali YURDUPAK, Commercial Counsellor to New York, at the show attended by Mr. Turgay ÜNLÜ, Chairman of UTG; Mr. Nurettin DEMİRPOLAT, Vice Chairman of UTG, UTG Directors Mr. Adnan HEKİMOĞLU, Mr. Kemal ÇAKMAK and Mr. İbrahim GÜZEL, and Mr. Nihat UYSALLI, Vice Chairman of Central Anatolian Grains, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters Union, and Mr. Mehmet KARAKUŞ, Director of the Union.
